Prévention de la récidive et interventions cognitivo-comportementales en France : quelles formations pour quels intervenants ?

Résumé

Cognitive-Behavioral Interventions (CBI) are the most effective strategies to prevent general, violent and sexual recidivism. Even if the last years have been characterized by a growing interest for the use of CBIs in correctional settings, a lack of training in and of knowledge of CBIs, and how to use them, represents a major issue. Specifically, while correctional professionals are rarely trained in CBIs, healthcare professionals working in correctional settings are not properly trained in issues pertaining to the prevention of recidivism. Since this situation creates the risk of inappropriate professional practices, the involvement of well-trained professionals is crucial. Our goal is to present what role CBIs can play in recividism prevention and offers some suggestions regarding the development of this area of activity which is new to France.
