The diversity of fighting organizations in the Arab world: the alleged synonymy between tanẓīm and munaẓẓama

Abstract : This article deals with the possible evolution of modern written Arabic from the press through a recent corpus extracted from the website www.aljazeera.net, which describes the war in Iraq from a factual point of view in November 2005. Before comparing the extended verbal forms of this corpus with the same verbal forms found in the same period and dealing with the same theme in the newspaper al-Ḥayāt, it first defines the object (the extended verbal forms, derivation bases) as well as the analysis method of the corpora (synchronic and diachronic analyses). In a third part, it moves on to the study of some extended verbal forms which must reveal whether they represent an evolution in the communication uses in relation to the Arabic standard, and in the Arabist standard in teaching the extended forms. These few forms are the base of the question of the synonymy between tanẓīm and munaẓẓama.
