Communication territoriale et technologies numériques : bilan provisoire et perspectives de recherche

Abstract : This article aims about insertion of ICTS (information and communication technologies) in territorial communication. By genealogical and forward-looking perspective, we examine how digital technologies strengthen a process of rationalization of public action and evolution of territorial marketing. Then, we study their impacts on the practices of the territorial communicators. The opportunities and the limits of these initiatives for local authorities are also explored. Finally, few proposals of research pleading for a systematic approach of territorial communication are discussed.
